Junior brass meets on a Monday evenings and is lead by Philip Storer, a member of the Gloucestershire Music team and an accomplished cornet player.     Junior Brass is split into two groups: Complete beginners who meet at 5:30 and intermediates who meet at 6:15.

    Junior Brass is an ideal way of supplementing your child’s school/home lessons and it gives them the opportunity to play in groups. Many of our senior band members have progressed through the Junior Brass and are now holding key positions in the main band.

    We have adopted a framework for the Junior Brass which has been approved by Gloucestershire Music and we are working very closely with them. We have recently sponsored music workshops in local schools, promoting brass amongst school children.

    Junior Brass subscriptions are £15 per term including instrument hire (where available).
