A CONCERT has been organised to raise money for teenager Jonathan Brough - who was left paralysed from the neck down after contracting meningitis.
The event will take place on Sunday March 30 at Minchinhampton Primary School.
Former Marling School pupil Jonathan, 19, from Minchinhampton, contracted meningitis a year ago.
Nailsworth Silver Band and their new musical director Steve Rockey will present a light-hearted programme of film and popular music starting at 7 pm.
Businesses and organizations are invited to donate cakes or raffle prizes. If you can help contact the event organiser Gary Foxley on 01453 885590.
Gary, who plays in the band with his brothers David and Simon, has been raising money for both Jonathan and the Meningitis Trust over the past few months.
He has completed a sponsored swim, performed carols and is planning to take part in the Three Peaks challenge this summer.
To date he has raised nearly £400 for the challenge.
Tickets for the concert, including programme, cost £5 for adults and £3 for students. Under 12’s can enter free of charge. They are available from Festivity in Nailsworth, Minchinhampton Primary School, and M and B stores in Minchinhampton.
