Madam - We often seem to read bad reports in newspapers about young people and I would like to redress the balance by commenting on last month's visit from Nailsworth to Leves, France, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of our Twinning Association.
The undoubted highlight of the visit was the presence of the Nailsworth Silver Band, a
large proportion of whose members are teenagers drawn from all over the district. They
all performed superbly well and drew many favourable comments on their smart appearance
and friendly attitude - they did a great job in representing the youth of our district in
a positive manner.
